Senior Project Estimator (Lead) - Montreal

Hatch, a full-service consulting firm, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join the Project Controls team in Montreal, QC.
 
In brief: Develop and coordinate estimates for specific projects, across the range of Hatch estimating classifications (FEL1, 2, 3 and 4).

Ensure compliance with the project lifecycle process, global and regional estimating guidelines and first-principle estimating techniques.

What will be your main responsibilities?

Detailed development of the project investment cost estimate, in accordance with the overall project estimation strategy.
Develop the basis of the estimate and confirm the estimate deliverables.
Lead the estimate review process
Takes overall responsibility for estimating project investment costs.
 
What do you bring to this position?

The essentials

15+ years of experience in a first principle estimating environment, ideally on large multidisciplinary projects in an EPCM environment across different estimating classes.
Ability to provide direction to coordinate activities on a number of projects.
Ability to analyze and evaluate problems 
Advanced ability to define, review and communicate appropriate best practice processes.
Strong MS Office skills and experience with estimating tools and systems.
On-site experience including working knowledge of DFL and production rates.
Bilingual French/English
