ArcelorMittal Mining is currently looking for an inventory management department manager. The Department Manager – Inventory Management ensures the delivery of goods and handling, disposal and other similar services, in sufficient quantity within the timeframes desired by operations or internal customers for the company's Northern operations. (MW and FL). He is responsible for all warehouse activities, inventory management as well as the disposal of residual materials (MDR) for the site and manages the diesel, gasoline and heavy fuel oil inventories for the North. He must also establish, maintain and develop a business relationship with his internal customers, major suppliers and carriers in his sector.

The Department Manager – Inventory Management is also responsible for operations related to the Kitting department: CSEP, Mine Maintenance and Concentrator as well as those of the Fire Lake warehouse.

Main responsibilities

Coaches, supervises and supports foremen in daily operations and working relations with employees.
Manages his team and applies performance management and development rules;
Ensures the efficiency of Warehouse (MW and FL) and Kitting operations to meet the needs of internal customers.
Develop strategies to improve the level of service in order to support internal customers;
Implement safety and preventive measures according to OHS indications;
Ensures the physical and psychological integrity of employees by ensuring a healthy and safe work environment according to OHS and environmental standards;
Participates in the identification, design, development and implementation of projects to optimize warehouse operations;
Ensures the mobilization of employees and sees to their training in order to respect the company's requirements and the department's objectives;
Collaborates with the analysis team and sees to the orderly and rapid elimination of equipment identified as obsolete and any other equipment identified by operations for resale, recovery or scrapping;
Develops the annual budget and weekly monitoring of operating costs;
Seek to optimize operational costs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes, methods, equipment and systems;
Leads certain warehouse-related projects such as vehicle fleet investment (Capex and Opex).
Requirements

Undergraduate university degree preferably in engineering or any other combination of training deemed equivalent;
Mastery of ERP systems and other IT tools (Warehouse management, MRP, etc.) as well as related administrative applications (Microsoft suite, etc.);
At least 10 years' experience in management combined with human capital management;
Experience related to the field of supply chain and warehouse management is required;
Strategic vision of procurement operations;
Knowledge of collective agreement management and labor relations;
Possess functional English (asset).
