Our Finance Department is a fast-paced, organized and results-driven team that is looking to hire an additional Accounts Receivable & Collections Coordinator. This position is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with clients and leadership while ensuring the timely collection of overdue accounts, provides reporting and systems support.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Professional/timely collection of any outstanding accounts
Monthly production of the Billing & Collections Committee Reports
Handles cheques and wires within a specified timeframe; posts cheques and wires to Accounting System and emails Daily Cash Receipt Report.
Assist internal and external clients by working closely with Partners, Legal Administrators, Billing/E-Billing Teams to reconcile and resolve receivable matters and address any client related inquiries
Primary back up to the Senior A/R and Collections Specialist for cash receipting, banking, WIP accruals and other tasks
Create ad hoc reports throughout the month for partners, Legal Administrators and others as required
Able to handle multiple projects to assist management as well as other areas of responsibility.
May need to perform other duties, as assigned, within the nature and level of the job
Job Specifications:
Knowledge & Experience:
2 years of previous collection or AR experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
CMS Experience an asset
Knowledge of bookkeeping / accounting procedures and policies, billing procedures
Automatic collection system knowledge
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent interpersonal skills
Possess strong analytical skills with proven problem-solving capabilities
Strong attention to detail
Possesses strong client relationship management experience.
Ability to communicate with people at all levels professionally and respectfully
Excellent time management skills and be highly organized.
