The Toronto office is looking for a dynamic communicator with excellent people skills to fulfill a Field Ambassador role in a full-time position.

Duties:

Reporting directly to the Project Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Serving as an accessible public information liaison with the general public, residents, and business owners to register inquiries or claims.
Conduct periodic site visits and work closely with residents, businesses, and construction teams to help with the early identification and resolution of issues.
Develop professional rapport with construction teams, residents and business owners.
Assist Site Representatives and Contract Administrators with coordination of temporary water shut-offs, temporary lane closures, etc.
Prepare and distribute public notices and construction updates.
Maintain a log to track and follow up with all questions and complaints and facilitate the resolution of these issues.
Respond to phone calls and emails from affected stakeholders.
Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
Other duties as required where appropriate for the position.
Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in customer service or public relations.
Knowledge in construction of Municipal and/or Transportation infrastructure projects is an asset but not required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of problem-solving capabilities.
Superior English communication skills both oral and written.
Demonstrated experience in conflict management and negotiation is an asset.
Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
