Primary Location: Burnaby, BC (Head Office)

Position Summary:
Join us at Binary Stream as a Content Marketing Specialist, where your collaboration across various departments transforms into impactful content. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you'll be the driving force behind crafting compelling content that propels top-funnel lead generation, embodies our unique brand voice, and captures the vibrant culture at Binary Stream. As a Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Content Strategy and Planning:
Align external content with the company's brand voice, mission, and values.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a track record of building relationships across sales, product management and leadership teams.
Research content ideas, maintain an editorial calendar, and ensure alignment with brand, cultural strategies, and product vision.
Repurpose marketing content to be leveraged across web, social, and blog platforms.
Content Creation and Optimization:
Produce compelling content across digital and traditional channels, showcasing the value of Binary Stream Solutions to drive top-funnel awareness and lead generation.
Develop high-quality content, including blog posts, whitepapers and case studies which highlight the features, benefits, and use cases of our solutions.
SEO Strategy and Implementation:
Develop and implement content plans to impact SEO strategy, enhance content visibility, search rankings, and organic traffic.
Conduct keyword research and optimize content for relevant search terms to increase discoverability.
Optimize existing content for better search rankings, engagement, and product messaging.
Best Practices Establishment:
Establish best practices for content creation, ensuring alignment with brand, cultural strategies, effective product messaging, and SEO optimization.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in product-related content.
Technical Skills and Other Requirements:
Demonstrate a proficient understanding of demand generation, search engine optimization, and customer lifecycle marketing.
Proficient in leveraging research tools and Martech stack for strategic planning, including: Ahrefs, Google Analytics, WordPress, and HubSpot marketing automation.
Proficiency in showcasing your writing skills using Google Docs, content management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Education and Experience:
Possess a post-secondary degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Public Relations, Creative Writing, Journalism or related fields.
Bring 2-5 years of experience in content marketing as a content strategist, content creator or other relevant roles for a B2B technology company.
Proven track record in crafting and publishing influential articles driving the buyer cycle.
Exhibit versatility by writing across different mediums and delivering successful results through project management.
Drive content marketing or inbound programs within a software or technology organization.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Specific experience in developing content for accounting solutions or ERP software, especially Dynamics ERP (F&O, BC, or GP).
Microsoft channel marketing experience.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and their integration with accounting solutions.
Working knowledge Assana project management tools.
Understanding of inbound marketing strategy and concepts.
