That is how we earn revenue to continue supporting you and the rest of our community. Besides, it protects you from completing work for a client and not getting paid for it, and (2) We recommend that you carry Errors & Omissions insurance for consultants to cover you.
A transaction occurs when one of our clients commissions work from you, based upon your mutual agreement on scope of work and consultant’s fee. Our system requires you to activate the transaction, not the client, as described here.
